The purpose of this study is to investigate influence of implicit beliefs and self-control on procrastination of elementary school children in physical education classes. The subjects are 424 elementary school children(boys: 217, girls: 207). The scales used in this study are ability belief's scale for Koreans designed by Park and Kim(2010), self-control scale for children, and procrastination for children in physical education(Park & Jung, 2011). For analyzing data, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and structure equation are conducted. The result of the study showed first, there are no difference between boys' implicit beliefs, self-control, and procrastination and those of girls.
The second, incremental beliefs of children significantly influence their cognitive, motivational, and behavior self-control, and entity beliefs of children significantly influence their behavior self-control.
The third, incremental belief of children have negative effect on their procrastination in physical education classes, and entity beliefs of children have positive effect on their procrastination in physical education classes. Motivational and behavioral self-control have negative effect on their procrastination in physical education classes.
