본 연구는 초․중등 일반교사 103명을 대상으로 통합교실에서 접할 수 있는 네 가지 학습자 유형별로 학습문제의 원인과 효과적인 교수․학습 방법에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 학습장애 학생에 대한 비교 집단으로 학습부진 학생, 지적장애 학생, 일반 학생을 포함하였다. 교사의 인식을 조사하기 위해 학습문제 원인에 관한 20문항과 효과적인 교수․학습 방법에 대한 8문항으로 구성된 설문 조사지를 사용하였다. 주요 연구결과에 따르면, 낮은 지능, 과다한 게임․핸드폰․컴퓨터 사용, 동기나 목표의식 부족, 수세기 및 연산능력 부족 등이 네 집단을 구분하는 중요한 학습문제 원인으로 나타났다. 교사들은 학생 내재적 요인을 주로 학습장애 학생이나 지적장애 학생의 주요 학습문제 원인으로 인식했으며, 환경적 요인은 일반 학생이나 학습부진 학생의 학습문제 원인으로 인식하는 경향이 있었다. 효과적인 교수․학습 방법과 관련해서는 소집단 협동학습, 토론식 문제해결 학습, 또래교수에서 차이를 보였으며, 모두 학습장애 학생보다 일반 학생이나 학습부진 학생에게 보다 적합하다고 보는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 개별화 교수, 설명식 수업, 주기별 연습 및 반복은 집단 간 차이가 없었다.
This study analyzed 103 general education teachers’ perceptions on the causes of learning problems and effective instructional methods for the four types of students including students with learning disabilities(LD), intellectual disabilities(ID), under-achieving, and normal achievement. For this, this study developed 20 questions to explore the causes of learning problems and 8 items for identifying the effective instructional methods for each type of students. According to the key results, the learning problems caused by low IQ, much use of game․computer․mobile-phone, lack of motivation to learn, and lack of basic math skills were found to be important factors influencing on students' learning problems. Teachers perceived that normal and under-achieving students’ learning problems were more by environmental conditions, however, students with LD and ID’s problems were more by students’ intrinsic problems. According the effective instructional methods, teachers perceived that small group cooperative learning, problem-based learning, and peer-tutoring need to be used for under-achieving and normal achieving students. On the other hand, individualized learning, exploratory teaching, and regularly repeated practice were perceived more generally effective teaching ways for all types of students.
