The study results provided some suggestions and implications for the development of Korean forest
kindergarten as follows. First, it is suggested to develop a national system to accredit Korean forest
kindergarten as a formal kindergarten. Second, the results imply that Korean forest education should
be emphasized through the national curricular guidelines of early childhood education. Third, this
study shows a need that Korean forest teachers should be qualified through a national license in
early childhood education or focused training in early childhood education. In addition, it is
recommended to decrease the rate of Korean forest teachers to children. Finally, this study
suggests to expand Korean forest education to infants, children and adolescents at the national
