본 연구의 목적은 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육참여와 결혼만족도의 관계를 파악하고 아버지 결혼 만족도에 영향을 주는 양육참여 하위요인의 영향력을 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 경기도, 경상도, 전 라도에 거주하는 유아기 자녀의 아버지 747명을 대상으로 아버지 양육참여 척도, 결혼만족도 척도를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지 양육참여는 사회․정서지 원, 공동양육, 교육지원, 놀이․문화지원, 자기성장의 순으로 나타났고 결혼만족도는 보통 수준보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 상관관계 분석 결과, 아버지 양육참여와 결혼만족도는 전체 및 하위요인 모두 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 단계적 중다회귀분석 결과, 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지 의 결혼만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 양육참여 요인은 공동양육이고 그 다음은 사회․정서지원과 자기성장의 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지 양육참여와 결혼만족도의 관계를 파악하고 결혼만족도에 영향을 주는 양육참여의 하위요인을 분석함으로써 가정의 관계를 구체적으로 이해할 수 있도록 했을 뿐 아니라 실질적인 부모교육 프로그램을 계획하고 발전시키는 데 활용할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하였다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the parenting involvement of fathers with children in early childhood stage and martial satisfaction, and reveal the influence of sub-factors of parenting involvement affecting marital satisfaction of fathers. Accordingly, survey research was conducted using father’s parenting involvement scale and marital satisfaction scale for 747 fathers with children in early childhood stage residing in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeongsang-do and Jeolla-do. The study results are as follow. First, types of father’s parenting involvement were found to be in the order of social & emotional support, joint parenting, educational support, play & cultural support and self-growth, and martial satisfaction was appeared to be higher than average. Second, correlation analysis result showed significant correlation between father’s parenting involvement and marital satisfaction overall and in every sub-factor. Third, stepwise multiple regression analysis result showed that joint parenting was to be a factor with most effects on marital satisfaction of fathers with children in early childhood stage, followed by social & emotional support and self-growth. The significance was this study can be found in that it provided not only specific understanding of family relation but also basic information that can be used to plan and develop practical educational program for parents by examining the relationship between the parenting involvement and marital satisfaction of fathers with children in early childhood stage, as well as analyzing the sub-factors of parenting involvement affecting marital satisfaction.
