Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine factors influencing marital satisfaction and to analyze the effects of factors influencing marital satisfaction for immigrant women. Methods: The subjects of this study were 340 immigrant women from China, Vietnam, Japan, Philippines, Cambodia. Participants completed a questionnaire translated to their own languages and the data were analyzed by using SPSS 20. Results: First, there were differences in their marital satisfaction by their country of origin, age, religion, marriage process, and the length of marriage. Second, self-esteem, family of origin health, economic stability, communication with husband, and cultural sensitivity all had influences on marital satisfaction for immigrant women. Third, 3-way interaction effect was shown in self-esteem, family of origin health, and communication with husband. Finally, the effect of communication with their husbands, self-esteem was larger than the effect of cultural sensitivity and economic stability on marital satisfaction. Conclusions: Psychological approach is more important to enhance marital satisfaction of immigrant women.
