In this study, a research on interactive media elements that were preferred and desired by present
learners who pursue progressive studies and effective interaction experience, based on their needs generated
while watching educational contents, was carried out. In addition, a correlation between the elements and
learners’ flow was analyzed. First, based on the results of structuring the viewers' needs through qualitative research, the types and steps of interaction that can be effectively applied to viewers of educational
contents were derived. In the process of empirical study on the interactive media elements, factors
influencing the learning and watching by contents, interaction variable items, and expected items of
educational contents users were examined based on the reference research carried out in advence. Also,
based on these data, a quantitative survey of possible interaction types and elements during interactive
media experience was put into practice. As a result of this study, it has been confirmed that interactive
media elements with the characteristics of dynamics, immersion, and autonomy have both meaningful and
positive effect on educational content viewers’ learning flow enhancement. Also, these findings are expected
to be utilized for setting the possible interaction models and establishing the multi modality which
effectively support them.
