It is necessary to collaborate among personnel including professional and non-professionals to provide inclusive education for students with and without disabilities in general schools. Presently, the numbers of students with disabilities who receive inclusive education in general classrooms have been increasing in Korea. However, the level of collaborative work that special education teachers and general education teachers participate in the process of inclusive education are very restrictive and elementary. This study investigated fundamental concepts and principles to facilitate the collaboration among teachers providing inclusive education in the points of the characteristics of collaboration; the characteristics of collaborative approaches in the process of inclusive education, the organization and activities of collaborative team, types of collaborative team work that teachers may participate to provide inclusive education, and strategies to facilitate collaboration among families and teachers.
