The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of integrated math-activities using fairy tale on the development of young children\'s mathematical concept and their ability of solving mathematical problems. To achieve the above objectives, the specific problems were formulated as follows: (1) what do the integrated math-activities using fairy tale have effects on the development of young children\'s mathematical concept? (2) what do the integrated math-activities using fairy tales have effects on young children\'s mathematical problem-solving ability? (3) what is the changes in young children\'s mathematical concepts and mathematical problem-solving ability through the process of integrated math-activities using fairy tale?
The result of this study is as follows: (1)When compared to the control group, a meaningful change was detected in the first post-test on the young children (experimental group) who experienced the integrated mathematical activities using fairy tale. Second post-test on the experimental group also showed the continual improvement. (2)Experimental group who experienced the integrated mathematical activities using fairy tale showed the improved ability in solving mathematical problems.(3) Through the process of the integrated mathematical activities using fairy tale, children could enhance their understanding of mathematical concept and ability of solving problems.
