The purpose of this study is, by examining the human rights sensitivity, it\'s infringement experience and it\'s infringement subject of the mental illness gradually have increased in the community since the begining of the community mental health program, to inform the foundational data for promoting their human rights consciousness.
In conducting this study, we compared and exammined 81 schizophrenics, members of social rehabilitation institution, and 61 alcoholics, members of Alcoholics-counseling center in chungcheong-do and Cholla-do, and searched the human rights infringement subject that they awared.
The results were as follows.
1) The human rights sensitivity and it\'s infringement experience between the schizophrenics and the alcoholics showed significant difference as statistical. The alcoholics of two groups responsed higher than the schizophrenics in the human rights sensitivity and shaper than in it\'s infringement experience.
2) Specially, It was important to note that the authors recognized human rights professionals, public officials, their family as infringement subject in the community.
The study revealed that the consciousness of human rights must improve through the education about the mental illness, the education to enhance the human rights sensitivity of professionals, public officials, family also be widespread, and the study of human rights education to consider their conscious level is necessary.
