This study has the purpose of making it possible to use guidelines of the basic data to the visually impaired students, in comparison with having any difference, after searching to investigate the actual conditions of the errors in the standard Korean between the visually impaired students and the sighted students.
In order to accomplish this object, the subjects of this study are 22 visually impaired students and 44 sighted students who got the K-WISC linguistic test of 90-120, and they had to choose right checking at question paper which is composed of 60 words. The statistical processing of all the collected data through the question was electronically disposed by SPSS/pc program(version 10.0).
The results were as follows:
First, regarding \'the Standard Korean\', the error ratio of the visually impaired students was higher than that of the sighted students, there are significant variations between two groups.
Second, regarding the Standard Korean according to pronunciation, the percentage of error of the visually impaired students was higher than that of the sighted students in \'ㅣ(i)\' one of the vowel regressive assimilation. However, the percentage of error of the visually impaired students was lower than that of the sighted students in one of the distinction of \'윗-(wit-), 웃-(ut-), 위-(wi-)\', ‘위층(wi-cheung)\'
Third, in Standard Korean Rules according to the variation of vocabulary choice, among Single Standard Koreans, the percentage of the errors of the visually impaired students is higher than that of the sighted students in ‘담배꽁초’(dam-bae-gong-cho) among Single Standard Korean and in ‘언덕배기’(eon-deok-bae-gi) among Plural Standard Koreans.
