It is said that a long historical cultural nation has had its own national tradition, like the spirit of Chinese In「仁」or Do「道」, the spirit of Indians Jabisim [merciful heart], Japanese Shintoism, and Israeli Sionism. We Koreans are also called a traditional cultural nation by Koreans and various people over the world. Koreans also has a strong long thought in our traditional culture from long ago. We are proud of our half million long cultural nation. They say Korea has 4000 year long history. We can divide this period by two, the former 2000 years when its historical record is not so correct, and the latter 2000 years when the record is somewhat correct compared to the former period. Foreign thoughts like Yu[儒], Bool[佛] and Do[道] are introduced about 1600 years long foreign thoughts can be said to be introduced upon our concrete traditional thoughts of 4000 year long. That is the reason why I maintain that we have to seek our traditional thoughts in the period that the foreign thoughts began to be introduced into Korea. And thus the former thoughts is the very thoughts of Han[한]. Our Han thoughts has been called by various names like Hongik[弘益], Gwanfmyong[光明], Poongyou[風流], Gumtap[金塔], Gumchok[金尺] according to the dynasties. Even if it has different names, it meant the same contents connecting its main ideas from period to period. Our traditional thoughts, Han thoughts, was one time couldn\'t show itself under the foreign thoughts Yu, Bool, Seon[儒, 佛, 仙], but its main thoughts has been flowing connected dynasty by dynasty, by various names like Hwarangdo spirit, Myochong thougths, Donghak thoughts, and Samil spirit. Without thinking of this situation, some scholars are trying to seek our traditional from Confusianism, Budism, and Doism. But I think it is not our true \'mother\'.
