Student involvement in college activities between Korean and American universities have been compared in order to address implications for Korean higher education programs and policies. It was found that student involvement in student-faculty interaction, cooperation among students, active learning and student performance showed much different trends between two countries. The results of this study suggests that students should be encouraged to invest more time and energy in learning activities, and that Korean higher educators should reinforce student interaction with peer group and faculty. Furthermore, Korean universities should continue enhancing educational environments and program designed to promote desired student outcomes.
