본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 영성과 대학생활 적응 간의 관계를 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 820명의 대학생이 연구대상이 되었고, 남녀대학생 집단 간에 대학생활 적응과 영성수준에 차이가 있는가를 독립표본 t검정을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 남학생의 대학생활 적응 정도가 높았고, 영성의 성차는 유의하지 않았다. 영성이 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향은 여학생 집단에서 통계적으로 유의했다. 연구결과를 토대로 하여 대학생활 적응을 향상시키는 방안으로 영성계발의 중요성과 학생생활연구소 등 대학기관의 활성화를 제안했다. 연구의 한계를 결론 부분에 언급했으며, 차후연구를 위해 다양한 참여자를 대상으로 한 연구, 한국 상황에 알맞은 영성척도의 개발, 스트레스와 영성과의 관계를 조명하는 연구의 필요성을 제언했다.
The purpose of this research is as follows; ‘Does spirituality of undergraduate influence the college adjustment of university students?’ It conducted survey on 820 university students to collect data, it also conducted research about whether there are differences among male and female groups upon their college adjustment and spiritual level through independent sample t-test. According to the result, there was statistically significant difference among the students’ level of college adjustment. However there was no statistically significant difference among the students’ level of spirituality. The female group with high level of spirituality showed statistically significant difference in college adjustment. Based on the result, it mentioned the limitation of study, and the importance of spirituality, the role, intervention method in Student Guidance & Counseling Center. Also, it seeks for the implication for the activities to enhance adjustment of university students, as well as making suggestions for further study.
