The purpose of this research thesis is to find out the awareness of infant music education and the
efficacy of music pedology. To do it, this thesis conducted a survey of present infant teachers and
would-be infant teachers. According to the research outcome surveyed of 116 present infant teachers and
104 would-be infant teachers, there is the statistically significant difference from the replies by present
and would-be infant teachers in the importance, the aim and contents of music education and the
capacity of teachers. Meanwhile there is no significant difference from the replies by the two groups of
infant teachers in the precondition of music activities.
Finally, the analytic outcome of the efficacy of music pedology among the two groups of infant
teachers shows that would-be infant teachers account for a higher rate compared with present infant
teachers. Accordingly, it is required to promote and encourage infant music education and learning
considering the difference between present and would-be infant teachers.
