The purpose of this study was to improve elementary students’ climate literacy through a three step method composed of 'understanding', 'attitude' and 'taking action' in STEAM education. The direction and contents of the climate change education were developed as activities for participants to conduct as part of STEAM education in elementary school climate change education lesson plans prepared. A climate change program in elementary education was developed, and the effects of the program were analyzed with students’ reflective journals Results showed that the participants’ understanding, action and attitudes were positively affected by the program in terms of climate literacy.
