The purpose of this study was to analyze the content of energy and climate change education in North America and to suggest the ways to enhance Korean energy and climate change education. For this purpose, we analyzed 11 teaching and research materials. Some of them were the results of research about reason of environmental problems and others contained the study of energy and climate change education methods and tools. The results of this study were as follows; First, materials inspiring cognizance environmental pollution and New Renewable Energy were commonly demonstrating not only the methods of protecting environment and developing Ne Renewable Energy but also the need of a new paradigm to change a large system of the society. Second, the features of energy and climate change education in North America were making students think about an approach about solving climate change problems as well as transmitting facts of climate change problems. Third, some materials were maps that showing a degree of North American environmental pollution and checklists that measure the degree of the pollution. This study suggests ways to develop practical and active educational contents for Korean energy and climate education.
