The purpose of this research was to analyze inquiry activity in teaching-learning of exercise and
energy units. For this, teaching-learning programs of exercise and energy units were analyzed and inquiry
activity types and science process skills were counted. Results were as follows: First, the most inquiry
activity type was ‘simple examination’ and there were few ‘task study’ and ‘field trip’. Second, overall the
percentage of basic process skills was 57.6% and that of integrated process skills was 42.4%. Third,
observing was the most basic process skill in all grades. Forth, as far as integrated process skills, those were
tend to evenly distributed, with grades going up.
