This study analyzed about characters and errors on assessment items that mathematics
preservice teachers made. Each assessment item consisted of a problem, a problem solving
process, and a answer. Those assessment items were classified by types, schools, and
contents. So, I found several characters on those assessment items. And, based on analyzing
errors of those assessment items, those things were classified by 4 types. And then, I
presented details of 4 types, and examples about each detail. As results, I found that
mathematics preservice teachers will be achieve more mathematical content knowledge to use
on junior high school and high school.
