The purpose of this study is to explore the job areas and specification on field of
kindergarten and childcare center teachers and to find a difference between the job
performance between the kindergarten teachesr, the teachers in charge of preschooler of
childcare center and teachers in charge of infant of childcare center. For this, this study
conducted case study with 33 of teachers as participants, and also did survey to 2,686 of
teachers as answerers. As a result, the job of teachers of kindergarten and childcare center
are like the following 10 areas, 35 categories, and 177 specifications: teaching preparation,
teaching praxis, teaching evaluation, professional development, child protection, parent
related jobs, event related jobs, paper work, and facility maintenance job, interpersonal and
social job. From the analysis on the performance degree throughout 177 jobs, some jobs are
different in their performance according to institution type or age of child (infant,
preschooler). Lastly, this study discusses some implications and issue to be discussed based
on the findings of this study.
