This case study reports the process and results of constructivist teacher education program which aims to change the educational beliefs of teacher-learners. The researchers of constructivist teacher education have insisted that the educational beliefs be consisted of the perspective, premise, value of education, and it affects the educational activity of its owner. Therefore if the teacher-educator do not change the educational beliefs of teacher-learner, it is impossible to achieve the end of teacher education.
Under this theoretical rational, I intended the change of educational beliefs of teacher-learners in the course offered in the one of the traditional institutes of teacher education. The process of constructivist teacher education program was divided in three major parts. The first part of it was to grasp the educational beliefs of teacher-learners who had participated in a course. I drew out the beliefs of education which the teacher-learners had by means of the concept map, metaphor, and learning log. The second part was the constructivist educational activities which aimed at the reconstruction of the beliefs of education. The constructivist educational activities had consisted of constructivist teaching activities, constructivist learning activities, cooperative learning, and self-evaluation of teacher-learners. The third part was the extent of change in the beliefs of education. I seized the change of beliefs of teacher-learners by means of the concept map, learning log, self-evaluation report, and the course evaluation questionnaire of the institutes of teacher education.
