As new 2009 curriculum was introduced to schools, needs of various educational contents are increased
such as creative activities, core competency related to career development, and technology integration using
digital textbook. Educational Broadcasting System(EBS) has put effort on new technology, development of
various educational contents, and providing services. However, the rate of EBS use in classroom was not
increased. Therefore, EBS started to 19 EBS model schools from elementary to high school. The purpose of
this study was analysis of operation status, investigation of perception of effectiveness of EBS model
schools. and improvement of its management. 10 teachers were participated in the study and in-depth
interview were conducted. As results, firstly, the patterns of the operation of EBS model schools were
various. Secondly, teachers’ perception of EBS was positive. In specific, they perceived that students’
motivation, self-regulated learning ability, and development of academic skills were increased. To improve
EBS model schools’ management, three major organizations’s efforts were involved; 1) EBS model schools,
2) EBS, and 3) Office of Education. Suggestions were discussed.
