헤겔 철학에서의 기억, 언어 그리고 사변적 사유

이 글의 목적은 헤겔의 기억이론에 대한 체계적인 연구를 수행하는 것이 다. 이 글은 다음과 같은 순서로 구성될 것이다. 첫째로, 주관정신 철학 내에서의 기억이론의 위치를 분석한다. 특이 이 부분에서 ‘표상’(representaion)의 의미, 내면 화(internalizing as Erinnerung) 및 상상력에 대한 헤겔의 이론을 집중적으로 분석 한다. 둘째로, 기계적 기억이론(mechanic memory) 및 언어이론을 설명한다. 기억의 세 형태에 대한 분석을 포함하여 기계적 기억이론 및 언어이론이 개념적 사유에 대해 맺는 관계를 설명하면서 헤겔의 기억이론의 특성들이 무엇인지를 알아본다. 세 번째 단락에서 필자는 헤겔의 기억이론이 그의 사변적 사유를 이해하는 데 어 떤 함축들을 지니는가를 분석한다. 그 다음으로 필자는 헤겔의 객관정신 및 절대정 신 철학이 왜 사변적인 문화적 기억이론으로 이해될 수 있는지를 해명하고자 한다. 끝으로 필자는 헤겔의 기억이론이 지니는 몇 가지 문제점들을 간단하게나마 제시할 것이다.

영문초록

This thesis is aimed at conducting a systematic research on Hegel’s theory on memory by studying the relationship between language, speculative thinking and memory. The thesis consists of the following. First, the thesis will analyze the significance of memory in Subjective Spirit, and focus on Hegel's theory regarding the meaning of representation as well as Erinnerung and imagination. Second, the thesis will elaborate on mechanic memory and theory of language. The thesis will introduce the unique characteristics of Hegel’s theory of memory by analyzing the three forms of memory and the relationship between theory of mechanic memory, theory of language and conceptual thinking. Furthermore, the thesis will elaborate on Hegel's unique theory of memory, in which memory and language are integral and prerequisite to speculative thinking. Through this, the thesis will analyze what implications Hegel’s distinct theory of memory has for understanding speculative thinking. In the third paragraph, the author discusses how Hegel’s Theory of Memory can help understand his speculative thinking. Then, the author will elaborate on how the theory of Hegel's objective spirit and absolute spirit can be regarded as a theory of speculative cultural memory. Finally, the author will briefly introduce a few limitations of Hegel’s Theory of Memory.
