This study has one main purpose to draw the new sketch of genuine education with fragments and traces of education concealed in Heidegger`s thought of Being. Heidegger tried to uncover Being itself that has been, since Plato, forgotten by Western metaphysics. According to him, aletheia (Being, truth) could be possible in the essential relationship with paideia (education), because Being would be uncovered by people`s total direction-change and existential transformation (paideia). But His main academic concern was just about Being itself, not education. Education has hidden itself behind Heidegger`s explicit assertions about Being, truth, and human being as Dasein. But, in his later works, Heidegger gave much attention to poets as demigods who are staying between men and gods. Poets are thinkers or daseins who have been pursuing after Being, so they can stay in the truth itself. But ordinary people (das Man) tend to distance themselves from truth and live in average everydayness. They never know what truth is. Poets have unique calling to convert people to authentic daseins and make them to be poets` genuine friends who can understand poets` knowing. This study demonstrated that Heidegger`s poets can be considered as mentor or authentic teacher and people, as disciples of poet, should learn to dwell in truth. This study suggests that genuine truth-sharing between daseins can be possible only through authentic education and Heidegger`s thought can be reinterpreted in the perspective of educational thought.
