교육관 유형연구는 ``교육이란 무엇인가라는 질문에 대한 답변들``을 탐구대상으로 하는 일종의 메타연구이다. 그렇기에 교육관 유형연구는 ``교육이란 무엇인가?``라는 질문이 제기되는 맥락이라면 그것이 어떤 맥락인지와 상관없이 그 질문을 하는 사람들에게 도움을 줄 수 있다. 그렇지만 현재 교육학에서 교육학 유형은 하나의 연구주제로 자리잡지 못했고, 또 활발하게 연구되고 있지도 않다. 이 논문은 교육관 유형연구의 활성화를 위해 교육관 유형연구의 성격과 의미를 드러내고, 교육관 유형연구의 기본적인 연구과제를 도출하려고 한다. 이를 위해 연구자는 교육관 유형연구라는 맥락에서 Eisner, 이홍우, 그리고 장상호의 연구를 다섯 주제를 중심으로 검토하고, 그것에 근거해 교육관 유형연구의 성격과 연구과제를 제안하였다.
The study of the types of educational view is a branch of educational study concerned with the nature of educational view and its types. This review critically examines 3 studies on the types of educational view. Three studies are reviewed base on the five broad areas of inquiry by the following five general questions. The first question addresses what the values of the study of the types of educational view are. The second question addresses what the research object of the study of the types of educational view is. The third question address what the conceptual model and classification criteria of educational view are. The fourth questions address what the types of educational view which is constructed by each researcher are. Finally, the fifth question concern the relationship of each type of educational view. The article concludes with suggestions for future research.
