In korean literature class, teachers and students generally think there is the only answer in the interpretation of korean classical poetry. Students do their best to find the only answer but they usually fail to figure out why teacher`s interpretation can be right but their`s are wrong. In everyday life, we love literature because we can interpret literature in our own view. It is our pleasure to share many different interpretation of a work, but in literature class it can give rise to confusion. In terms of educational epistemology, we can find a solution in this state of confusion as we assume to exist two aspects of relativity of interpretation of korean classical poetry ; horizontal and vertical relativity of knowledge. We can suppose that there can be horizontal relativity of interpretation of korean classical poetry which show us diversity of interpretation. And we can also suppose vertical relativity of interpretation of korean classical poetry in terms of different levels of interpretation. In korean classical poetry class, the diversity and many levels of interpretation can be respected as educational conditions. In terms of educational epistemology, the differences of interpretations can be supplemented in the process of educational experiences.
