The purpose of this study was to investigate the levels of teaching writing practices of special education teachers, personal teaching efficacy in writing, and the relationship between these two variables. Subjects were 44 special education teachers in elementary level participated in the training course.
The major results of this study were as follows:
First, special education teachers provided the spelling teaching practice most often as weekly-level. No significant differences in the levels of teaching practices were found according to the teaching experience and types of teaching place.
Second, the level of personal teaching efficacy in writing of special education teachers was identified as not so high. No significant differences on the levels of personal teaching efficacy in writing were found according to the teaching experience and types of teaching place.
Third, there was a positive relationship between the level of teaching practices and personal teaching efficacy in writing.
