Although they are well experienced and competent, they are forced to retire without finding what to do in the future, and then they are bound to lead a lonely and alienated life afterward. How to spend free time in old age, which is a critical period to determine the quality of life, is one of the most crucial tasks, and its importance is increasingly accentuated as the elderly population is on the rise.
One of the good ways to let them work and take advantage of their free time is giving them a chance to do volunteer work. By helping others, they will be able to find their lives more satisfactory and rewarding without suffering an inferiority complex or feeling lonely any more.
For data analysis, frequency, analysis, one-way ANOVA and crosstab were employed to find out their general characteristics and how their volunteer work affected their life satisfaction.
