본 연구는 노인교실 프로그램의 참여가 노인의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증함으로써, 향후 꾸준히 증가할 전망으로 있는 우리나라 노인교실의 질을 향상시켜 노인의 삶의 질 증진에 이바지하는 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하는 목적으로 연구되었다. 이에 본 연구는 선행연구를 중심으로 노인의 삶의 질에 관한 이론을 체계화하여 측정지표를 도출한 후 이를 노인교실 프로그램과의 관계를 통해 검증하였는데, 본 연구에서 다루어진 구체적인 연구문제는 첫째, 노인교실 프로그램 참여 노인의 일반적 특성은 어떠한가. 둘째, 노인교실 프로그램의 참여 현황은 어떠한가. 셋째, 노인교실 프로그램의 참여기간, 참여횟수, 참여시간과 노인의 삶의 질 간에는 인과관계가 있는가이다. 연구결과, 노인교실 프로그램의 참여기간, 참여횟수, 참여시간 중 참여횟수 만이 노인의 삶의 질에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
This dissertation is studied for offering the useful basic materials on increasing of the elderly life quality by improving of the quality of korean elderly classroom that is exspected to increase constantly from now on, through verifying demonstratively the effect of elderly life quality from participating in elderly classroom program. Accordingly this dissertation has verified it through the relations with the elderly classroom program, after systematizing the theory of elderly life quality centering around preceeding study and drawing the measurement index. The concrete study problems of this dissertation are 1st. how general characteristics of the elderly participating in elderly classroom program are, 2nd. how the state of participation in elderly classroom program, 3rd. whether there are causal relationship between the participating period of elderly classroom program, the number of times of participation, participation times, the living quality of the elderly or not. The study shows that paticipation times have an meaningful effect on the quality of elderly life among the participating period of elderly classroom program, the number of times of participation, participation times.
