In order to perform research, I surveyed 194 graduates-to-be who major in Social Wok in the colleges in regions in non-probability sampling. The survey was made on Dec. 20, 2007 - Jan. 25, 2008 and I used a structured questionnaire in order to achieve a research purpose, using t-test와 ANOVA in analysis way. In the research, I intended to examine the degree of the employment stress which students who are majoring Social Work suffer, test the difference between the stress depending on the variables and the difference among the methods for coping with the stress and as a result, suggest the countermeasure for overcoming the stress.
The finding of the study was 2.6326 and the economic stress was highest with 3.0155 among lots of factors for the stress.
The study found that in the character stress, students who were unfavorable or favorable in their family situation or were poor in school performance and interrelation were more stressful. In the economic stress, female students, students whose family situation was unfavorable or favorable and students who were ordinarily satisfied with their college life felt stronger stress. In the school environment stress, the study revealed that students whose family situation, school performance and interrelation were poor showed a higher figure. Students whose interrelation was undesirable mainly felt the stronger lethargy stress The study showed that the positive countermeasure for this stress was used by female students and students whose interrelation was desirable. The evasive countermeasure was much used by students who were younger by age, favorable in family situation, and lower in school performance. The seclusive countermeasure was used by students who were lower in school performance. The wait- and-see countermeasure was utilized by students who were younger by age, undesirable in interrelation and satisfied with their college life. In order to resolve the employment stress of the students who major Social Work, the students themselves would prepare for employment from their lower grades and the subsidy for employment or job-search activity, mind control and the aggressive support by schools would be followed.
