By comparing the effects of nature experiential activities on young children\'s curiosity and
nature-friendly attitude, as an object indispensable for human beings existence. The research has been conducted with 40 children aged five attending S and M kindergartens in G city as the subjects. The nature experience activities for the children were conducted directly in a real nature environment, and objects for observation in the activities were selected from real life to be immersed naturally into the education process. As research tools, a tool used by Lee Su-nam (2001) for looking into children\'s curiosity and a tool by Yoon Ki-hyun (2008) for determining nature-friendly attitude were used. For the result analysis t-tests were conducted for the data.
This study found that the children in experiment groups, who participated in nature experiential
activities, displayed higher rates of improvement in curiosity and nature-friendly attitude than children in comparative groups. The improvement was particularly noticeable in the area of explorative behavior, which is a subcategory of curiosity, as well as in the area of interest in and affection toward animals and plants, a subcategory of nature-friendly attitude. This outcome shows that nature experiential activities have a positive impact on children\'s curiosity and nature-friendly attitude. This leads to a conclusion that such activities help young children understand the relations between nature and human beings and that nature, as a place of learning, has educational significance for children.
