본 연구의 목적은 문제찾기 중심의 수업이 공과대학생들의 창의적 사고력을 증진시키는 지를 확인하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 H대학교 공과대학생들로 겨울 계절학기 수업에 등록한 2개 분반 53명이었다. 1개 분반은 실험 집단으로 배정되었고 이들은 문제찾기 중심의 수업에 참여하였고, 나머지 분반은 비교집단으로 배정되었으며, 강의식 수업에 참여하였다. 문제찾기 중심의 수업이 시작되기 전에 두 집단 모두에게 한국판 창의성 검사인 A형 TTCT를 실시하였고 수업 후에는 B형 TTCT를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 문제찾기 중심의 수업이 공과대학생들의 창의적 사고력(유창성, 융통성, 독창성)을 향상시켰음을 보여준다.
The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a problem-finding based instruction on creativity of the engineering college students. Subjects were 53 college students who enrolled on the winter course of H university located in Busan. They were randomly assigned to any group of experimental and control group. Both groups took two types of TTCT before and after the experimental session. Experimental groups received problem-finding based instruction, but control groups received lectures for 13 sessions. A ANCOVA was conducted to analyze the collected data. The results showed that problem-finding based instruction has an effect on enhancing creativity of college students.
