The main purpose of this study is to study of the development mathematics instruction designing strategies based on story-telling. For this purpose, this study review literatures related to the story-telling, analysed several instruction designing Strategies based on story-telling in mathematics.
Mathematics is a subject which is incoherent and poor in developing students' interests and motivation intrinsically and extrinsically. Although Korean students have shown excellent learning results, they are of more anxiety and less interests and creativity in the subject, compared to those in the countries where they can be exposed to the subject in their daily lives easily. This is also indicated in the results published by PISA.
One of the solutions is an instruction based on story-telling, which has been developed to raise versatile international experts by providing students with logical, dramatic and sensible lessons through performing syllabi designed on the basis of story-telling in the class.
