This study aims to analyze current conditions, issues and problems of the rehabilitation service for the
disabled children in order to suggest the method for the development. To this end, the study conducted
the analysis by comparing the existing subsidy methods of organizations, and interviews to users, therapists,
and middle managers.
According to the findings, four positive aspects such as no waiting time of users, harmony with various
organizations and services, improved consumer rights and increase in information proximity as well as three
negative aspects including the unfamiliar voucher type and the inconvenient approval system, limited
conditions of selecting subjects, and difficulties in service supply are presented at the same time. Next, the
problem of insufficient workforce and the need of personnel with exclusive responsibility were raised from
the perspective of providers. Lastly, the supplied personnel pointed out positive aspects such as more jobs
and various kinds of jobs that they can choose as well as their anxiety of non-regular working.
Based on the findings, the study suggests solving unbalance between local service organizations and
preparing the standards for service operation and for service providers.
