This study reports the difference in drawings between positive and negative schizophrenic
patients. A total of 64 patients (31 positive and 33 negative), who are currently admitted
to hospitals in Seoul, lncheon, and GyeongGi-Do regions, have participated. After analyzing
the drawings from the positive and negative patients in 23 categories, we observed no
apparent differences except three categories idiosyncratic colors, abstract symbols, and line
length. Therefore, we propose that drawings can be usefully employed as a supplemental tool
in the clinical schizophrenic diagnosis.
