\"The object of this study is to grasp of the students with the visual impairments in korean secondary school, enlighten the overall quality of life, provide basic materials in order to improve the overall quality of life. It was carried out through the questionnaires of 325 secondary students with visual impairments in the 12 schools for the visual impairments all over the country.
The summary is as follows.
First, the overall life level of students with visual impairments in secondary school is moderate, among those the material well-being is highest and social integration is lowest.
Second, the life level according to background variables, girl students appeared to be higher than boy students in the area of social integrations, junior high schools students appeared to be higher than senior high school students in the area of physical wellbeing, social integrations. Students with low vision appeared to be higher than students with totally blinded in the area of personal accomplishment, development and physical well-being, and students with acquired visually impaired appeared to be higher than students with congenitally visually impaired in the area of accomplishment and development.
And in the area of life level according to living form, day scholar students appeared to be totally higher than dormitory students. In the area of subarea, day scholar students appeared to be higher than dormitory students in the area of emotional well-being and satisfaction. Centering these study results, needed items necessary for following study were suggested in the suggestions.
