최근 한국사회는 빠르게 다문화사회로 변모해가고 있는 과정에 있다. 다문화적 배경을 가진이들이 우리 사회에 잘 적응하고 경제적으로도 안정적인 삶을 살도록 하는 것은 우리사회의 새로운 과제라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 21세기 세계화시대에서는 우리사회 내에서 점차 증가하는 타문화에 대한 수용과 이해가 선행되어야 할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 점차 다문화 되어가는 우리사회 내에서 다양한 문제를 가진 다문화가정의 현황과 정책적 지원을 파악하고 앞서서 다문화사회의 과정을 겪고 있는 외국의 다문화정책을 파악 비교해봄으로 우리사회의 다문화가족에 대한 그 대안을 고찰해 보고자 하였다.

We can say that it is public responsibility newly imposed upon us to make our new neighbors, having multicultural backgrounds, successfully adapt themselves to Korean society and become financially stable in Korea. In this 21st century of globalization, the attitude to understand and embrace people with different, gradually increasing in Korea society now, must takes precedence to achieve above-said goals. So I take contemplation upon the state and support policies in Korea, now becoming multi-cultural society day by day, and compare our measures to the ones of foreign countries that handled same situation in advance us for the purpose to introduce improvement measures to settle multicultural families in our society in success.
