본 연구의 목적은 지역사회경험학습을 각 학과별 특성에 맞게 계획단계, 활동단계, 반성적 성찰단계에 따라 진행하고 그것이 전문대학생의 학습동기와 지역사회참여의식에 미치는 효과 를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 부산의 D전문대학 학생을 대상으로 2011년도 1학기에 지역사 회경험학습을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 학습동기와 지역사회참여의식을 사전, 사후에 실시하고 이를 분석하기 위해 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 하였다. 연구결과, 지역사회경험학습에 참가한 전문대학생의 학습동기는 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역사회경험학습에 참 가한 전문대학생의 지역사회참여의식은 유의미하게 향상되지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과들을 중심으로 지역사회경험학습의 실시가 학습동기와 지역사회참여의식에 미치는 효과와 그 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.
This study aimed to investigate the effects of community-based learning on college student's learning motivation and consciousness of participation in community by making students do community-based learning through planning phase, action phase and reflection phase in compliance with the characteristics of their departments. The participants of the study were 76 students at D college and community-based learning was conducted in the spring semester of 2011. College students' learning motivation and consciousness of participation in community were examined before and after community-based learning and were analysed with ANCOVA. The results indicated that college students who engaged in community-based learning showed statistically significant increases in learning motivation. And the consciousness of participation in community wasn't increased. Based on the results, pedagogical implications for the effects of community-based learning on college students' learning motivation and consciousness of participation in community are discussed.
