이 연구는 지적장애인의 지원요구의 수준 및 요인 구조를 분석한 것이다. 검사 도구는 지 원강도척도(Supports Intensity Scale)의 제1부 지원요구척도(Supports Needs Scale)를 번안 하여 사용하였다. 연구의 결과에 의하면 지적장애인의 지원요구의 수준은 성별에 따른 차이 가 없으며, 연령별로 16～18세에서 19～21세 또는 22～24세보다 높은 지원요구가 나타난다. 16～18세 연령에서의 높은 지원요구는 학령기의 지적장애인들에게 비교적 많은 교육적 기 대를 요구한다는 것을 의미하며, 연령에 따른 지적장애인의 지원요구를 명확하게 알아보기 위해서 개인들의 지원요구를 연령에 따라 파악해보는 추적 연구가 이루어질 필요성이 있다. 지적장애인의 지원요구는 장애 정도에 따라 중도․최중도, 중등도, 경도의 순으로 높으며, 이와 같은 결과는 장애 정도에 따른 사회성 및 적응행동 상의 결핍이 클수록 더 높은 지원 요구를 필요로 한다는 것을 의미한다. 지원요구에 대한 탐색적 요인 분석 결과 단일요인 구 조 모형인 것으로 나타났으며, 확인적 요인 분석 결과 단일요인 구조모형의 자료에 대한 적 합도에서 양호한 것으로 나타나 지원요구는 단일요인 구조모형인 것으로 밝혀졌다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the levels and factor structure of supports needs in people with intellectual disabilities. Supports needs indexed by SectionⅠ Supports Needs Scale of Supports Intensity Scale translated in Korean. As the results of this study, supports needs was no difference depending on gender and, people with intellectual disabilities with 16～18 years showed higher Index of supports needs than 19～21 years or 22～24 years according to age. Higher Index of supports needs in people with intellectual disabilities with 16～18 years signified that people with intellectual disabilities at school age were required relatively high expectations, thus it is necessary to implement follow-up study that examine supports needs on individuals' growth in order to realize clearly supports needs in people with intellectual disabilities depending on age. Supports needs were indexed high severe․profound, moderate, mild in oder according to level of disabilities, such a result signified that require higher supports needs according to level of disabilities as more deficit of sociality and adaptive behavior. Exploratory factor analysis of supports needs produced one factor structure. And confirmatory factor analysis of supports needs was favorable goodness of fit one factor structure model reproduced by empirical data. thus supports needs was indicated one factor structure model.
