This research examined the day nursery policy that can be effective to raise the birthrate by conducting survey on the school parents of childcare centers about their degree of satisfaction with the day nursery policy which is currently being enforced in our country and explored the direction of the day nursery policy to enhance the birth rate now and in the future. The day nursery policy is closely related to the birthrate and the environment of comfortable childbirth can be a sufficient factor for determining the childbirth. The results of this research showed that society and family should take corporate responsibility for childbirth and raising children and a comprehensive national policy should be established. Accordingly, as a positive childbirth stabilization policy, the establishment of gender equality values and the reinforcement of support for childrearing including the adoption of children’s allowance system, the enforcement of free childcare across the board, and the expansion of tax exemption are needed, and as the way to vitalize the day nursery policy, not only the expansion of public
childcare centers, but also the diversification of childcare hours and making efforts to enhance the qualitative level of childcare services in childcare operating process will have positive effects on the childbirth intention of married women.
