The ecological view of the body is to see the body from the ecological perspective which agrees that our body is a part of nature, moreover nature itself, and the ecological body means that our body recovers the natural and ecological characters through the circulation and repetition of creation, change and destruction. In this paper, the body, a microcosm of the universe, nature itself - a microcosm, will be dealt from the ecological perspective which focuses on nature, mind and process rather than human oriented, material oriented and result oriented perspective. Our body, ecology itself, will be considered as an eco-environment or a starting point of the ecological order’s restoration beyond an eco-environment and this eco-environment, Asian traditional academic systems, such as Taoism’s doing nothing, Confucianism’s moral training and Buddhism’s dependant arising, which have a philosophical tradition will be focused on, and the systems have a philosophical tradition which deals the body and the mind as an union and agreement. Yin and Yang Five Elements and “Emperor’s gauge: one of oldest Chinese medical text” will be focused on as well to study an ideal body and ecological body which we pursue through the ecological view. In Chapter 2, the meaning of the body and the ecology will be considered again through the study of the relationship between the ecology and the body prior to establishment of the Oriental ecological view of the body, and thereby ecocentric ecology and body, ie the relationship between the human body and ecology, beyond the concept of human-centered environment, will be comprehended. In Chapter 3, the philosophical foundation which is looking at the body in the Orient based on Eastern thought and Oriental medicine will be studied, and Chapter 4 deals the nature and the body from ecological perspective based on Oriental philosophical system and the common things of the ecological view of the body, on top of the Chapter3. Finally, Chapter 5 will give an entire picture on a definition of the ecological body from the view of Eastern thought and a theoretical system of the ecological view of the body, based on the study from Chapter 1 to Chapter 4. In order to understand this ecological view of the body, a detailed and in-depth study on the natural order of things and the body should be done.
