The Small and Medium-sized Enterprises(SMEs) is greatly important in
Korea in terms of the economic situation. However, while HRD focuses mainly
on large organization, little attention has paid to HRD in SMEs. Then, despite of
a growing body of research on workplace learning, little is known about the
status of workplace learning in the SMEs in Korea.
Therefore, the purpose of the study was to investigate the extent of
workplace learning and employees\' perceptions on workplace learning in the
SMEs. The current status of workplace learning in the SMEs were examined
by conducting surveys to employees in the SMEs across the nation. Based on
the results of the study, implications for future research on workplace learning
and practice are suggested.
