This study is intended to explore how knowledge creation is conducted at workplace and how related components interact during the process. The research presents a team\'s knowledge creation, illustrated by a case study of S team and applied by activity system and expansive learning cycle. Through participant-observation, transcripts of recorded three meetings of S team and interviews with S team members, the research demonstrates the knowledge creation process at workplace and roles and interaction of elements at activity system.
The results are as follows. First, constant interaction among elements of activity system occurs during knowledge creation at workplace, thus identifying of roles and relations of the elements is essential to the understanding of knowledge creation at workplace. Second, the formating of a shared object played a crucial role in knowledge creation. Third, in knowledge creation of a
small group, individual and organizational elements such as open communication culture and member\'s active involvement are important elements throughout the process. Lastly, knowledge creation is democratic at workplace with open communication culture.
