주 5일 근무제가 실시되고 평생학습시대를 맞이하여 문화와 여가에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 박물관은 변화를 요구하는 새로운 사회적 배경 속에서 공공의 문화기관으로서 누구에게 나 열린 공간이 되어야 한다. 시력을 상실한 시각장애인들에게 박물관 관람은 거의 모든 측면 에서 영향을 미치기 때문에 시각장애인들의 특성에 맞는 교육프로그램의 개발이 필요하다. 그 동안 장애에 대한 인식의 부족과 문화적 환경이 조성되어 있지 않았기 때문에 박물관 경험의 기회가 부족했다. 박물관은 시각장애인이 능동적인 문화수혜자가 될 수 있도록 적극적으로 교 육프로그램을 제공해야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 국립중앙박물관에서 시각장애 교육원리를 바탕 으로 교육프로그램의 개발과정과 교육프로그램 안에서 활용될 수 있는 AEB 학습도구의 개발 을 제시하고 있다. AEB 학습도구는 박물관에서 시각장애를 보완하기 위한 다감각적 교육방법 론이다. 우리의 대표적인 문화재인 백제금동대향로를 중심으로 6가지 학습도구의 활용방법을 제안함에 따라, 각 박물관마다 유물과 운영실정에 맞게 창의적이고 차별화된 시각장애인 교육 프로그램이 가능함을 제시하였다.
People are interested in culture and leisure after beginning the five-day workweek and having lifelong learning. The museum should be an open space for everyone as a public cultural medium in the social demand. We should develop education program for the blind people because the watching museum affects all of them. Blind people are short of experiences in museums because of lacking social understanding for them. Museum should give blind people education program enthusiastically because they should be active beneficiaries of culture in the society. In this paper, I examined the AEB learning tool that can be used in the education program and development process of education program for blind people in the National Museum of Korea based on education principle for blind people. The AEB learning tool is a multi-sensible education methodology for the blind. I proposed using method of six learning tools by ancient Baekje-era Bronze burner. Finally, I examined that every museum can make creative and independent education programs for the blind people in the light of museum's condition.
