The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of Life-respect program using Transactional Analysis Re-decision on the middle school students suicidal ideation, ego-state, and life position. To this end, among the first graders in middle school in Gyeongsangnam-do, 20 students who wish to participate in the life respect program were selected as research subjects. Ten of them were placed in the experiment group and the other 10 were composed of the control group. The findings of the study, suicidal ideation in the experiment group participating in Life-respect program using Transactional Analysis Re-decision was meaningfully decreased against the control group. In addition, the self-status of the experimental group applying the life-respect program using the exchange analysis decision was not significant, and the attitude of life was partially improved compared to the control group. As a result, the life-respect program using the exchange analysis decision had a positive effect on the suicidal ideation and attitude of middle school students, but the self-status was not significant. Based on these results, discussions and limitations on life-respect programs using the re-decision of Transactional analysis were presented.
