In this paper, I will assess Wilson’s concept of consilience and thereby try to show the proper way that the consilience and holistic education could meet each other. In section III, I delineated Wilson’s concept of consilience and holistic education. It is the core of his project of consilience to unify the humanities and the natural sciences through the natural scientific methods and therefore he claims that it is in principle possible to carry out the project of consilience. In section IV, I examined holistic education - environmental education - through consilience. I dealed with the various types and ways of properly carrying out the transdisplinary approach on environmental education. And I proposed the Gurjieff’s Enneagram on model, Story model on environmental education as holistic education through consilience. In section V, I showed the prospect and the task of consilience and holistic education. Whole-being education for 21st century is holistic education that is in pursuit of harmony of internal self and neighbor and the universe. From the viewpoint of holistic education and consilience, we need to incorporate the frame of environmental education into the perspectives in the following: 1) to emphasize a respect for life and relationships among living things; 2) To emphasize earth ecology education and earth community education; 4) To emphasize the education which integrate body, emotions, consciousness, the spirit; 5) To emphasize an environment in which teachers and students would be real or genuine their communication and meeting.
