This study investigated WDCT(Wartegg Drawing Completion Test) research trends in Korea and other countries to seek future research directions. Academic articles published in Korea and abroad were collected from 2000 to December 2022, and the final analysis included 12 Korean and 108 foreign articles. Research trends by year of publication, country, research subjects, data analysis methods, test interpretation methods, research topics, and contents were analyzed. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, as for research trends by year and country, Korea conducted the most studies in 2016, and the number of foreign studies has increased since 2008. The most foreign studies were done in 2012, and Italy was the most studied country. Second, as for the research method, most studies in Korea and abroad are conducted on non-clitical groups, but the studies in abroad covered more clinical and various subjects than Korea. As for the research analysis method, many quantitative studies were conducted in Korea and abroad. In terms of the test interpretation method, most studies in Korea used the Avé-Lallemant analysis method, while foreign studies preferred the Crisi Wartegg System (CWS). Third, regarding research topics and contents, most studies in Korea were on responses to confirm the characteristics of personality and thinking, whereas studies on validity were the most common abroad. Various studies were also performed on reliability, response characteristics, computerized systems, and color correction. Based on these findings, the significance of this study and limitations were discussed.
