본 연구의 목적은 기독교인 대학 신입생의 영성이 리더십 및 자기주도학습 준비도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴봄으로써 대학 입학 후 리더십 및 자기주도학습 준비도를 발휘하는 데 어려움을 겪고 있는 신입생을 상담할 때 고려할 측면들을 탐색하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 서울 소재 대학에 입학한 기독교인 신입생 185명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 상관분석 및 중다회귀분석을 시행하여 결과를 산출하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 기독교인 대학 신입생의 영성은 리더십 및 자기주도학습 준비도의 모든 변수와 높은 정적 상관을 이루는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영성의 ‘연결성’은 리더십의 ‘대인관계와 조직 능력’에, 영성의 ‘초월성’은 리더십의 ‘도전정신’에, 영성의 ‘자비심’은 리더십의 ‘사회헌신’에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 영성의 ‘삶의 의미와 목적’, ‘자각’, ‘내적자원’은 자기주도학습 준비도의 모든 하위요인에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 기독교인 대학 신입생의 영성이 리더십 및 자기주도적 학습태도에 매우 긍정적인 영향을 끼치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 기독교인 대학 신입생의 적응력 향상을 위한 교육 및 상담전략 수립에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
The purpose of this paper is to examine how Christian freshmen’s spirituality affects their leadership skills and self–directed learning readiness. For data collection, a survey has been conducted on 185 Christian freshmen in a university located in Seoul, and the results have been analyzed through correlation analysis and linear multiple regression analysis. The research findings can be summarized as follows. First, there has been a significant correlation between Christian freshmen’s spirituality and leadership and self–directed learning readiness. Second, the ‘connection’ of spirituality had a significant impact on ‘interpersonal relationships and organizing ability’ of leadership. ‘Transcendence’ of spirituality on ‘a challenging spirit’, and ‘compassion’ on ‘social commitment.’ Third, ‘the meaning and purpose of life’, ‘self–awareness’, ‘internal resources’ of spirituality had a significant impact on all subfactors of self–directed learning readiness. This study shows that the spirituality of Christian freshmen has a great positive impact on leadership and self–directed learning. The findings are expected to serve to adaptability improvement and counseling strategy for Christian freshmen clients.
