This thesis focuses on the psychological perspective of Job’s pain in Job. In fact, Job’s suffering is a phenomenon repeatedly observed in Christian counseling beyond the text of the old testament. Actually, the clients make statements about theodicy correlated with evil, sin of their life and awareness of God, which is the intersection of theological insights and psychological work. Therefore, this study attempts to contrast the traditional theology of the book of Job with the theological position of modernity, and further explore the analytical psychological approach to it. On the other hand, through case of ‘J’, we compare with case of ‘J’ and that of Job, and try to find out the Christian counseling strategies and the use of Christian resources for it. Accordingly, this thesis explores the relationship between the internal relations of the client psychology and the representation of God, which appeals to the ambivalence of guilt and anger in multiple afflictions in the field of counseling. The purpose of this study is to examine the client’s theological perceptions and to reconsider the Christian counseling approach found in the clinic.
