4차 산업혁명의 결과 종전과 전혀 다른 새로운 디지털 기술이 우리 사회에 등장하게 되었고, 그중 인공지능이 가장 큰 주목을 받고 있다. 이에 따라 미술교육에서도 인공지능 활용에 대한 올바른 접근 방식이 무엇인지에 관한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 미술교육의 주체가 교사라는 점에 초점을 맞추어 미술교육에서 효과적으로 인공지능을 활용하기 위해선 교사의 인공지능 역량이 중요하다고 판단하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 관점을 토대로 미술교육을 위한 교사의 인공지능 역량은 무엇인지 밝히는 데 그 목적이 있으며, 이를 위해 UNESCO(2024)의 AI competency framework for teachers 보고서에 주목하였다. 이 보고서는 전 세계 모든 학교교육에 적용할 수 있는 교사의 인공지능 역량을 제시하고 있는데, 본 연구에서는 이를 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정의 교과 역량과 관련지어 재해석하였다. 그 결과 미술교육에 필요한 교사의 인공지능 역량으로 심미적 인공지능 역량, 윤리적 인공지능 역량, 창의적 인공지능 역량, 교육적 인공지능 역량, 발전적 인공지능 역량을 도출할 수 있었다. 본 연구가 미술의 가치를 지키면서 인공지능 미술교육을 실시할 수 있는 단서를 제공했기를 기대한다.
As a result of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, new digital technologies, vastly different from those of the past, have emerged in society, with artificial intelligence (AI) receiving the greatest attention. Consequently, research is actively being conducted in art education to determine appropriate approaches for utilizing AI. This study focuses on the role of teachers as central figures in art education, positing that teachers' AI competencies are essential for the effective integration of AI into art education. The purpose of this study is to identify the AI competencies required for art educators, based on this perspective. To achieve this, we focused on UNESCO's (2024) 'AI Competency Framework for Teachers,' which outlines AI competencies for educators applicable to school education worldwide. This framework was reinterpreted in relation to the competencies outlined in the 2022 revised art curriculum. As a result, we identified five key AI competencies for teachers in art education: aesthetic AI competency, ethical AI competency, creative AI competency, educational AI competency, and developmental AI competency. It is hoped that this study offers insights into implementing AI in art education in ways that preserve the intrinsic value of the arts.
