This study explored ways to introduce and apply mentoring sytem to
educational service delivery unit, that is, school and classroom where novice
teachers in Korea start working, implying that mentoring system must be an
effective means to help them to meet with their acculturating problems in
their workplaces.
As a matter of fact, mentoring system has been developed and
institutionalized as an important system for the training of both novice and
senior teachers in America and Europe for the past 30 years. However, it has
not been familiar to the Korean context yet.
In this study, thus, some previous studies about mentoring system were
first represented. Second, the mentor's function and the process of mentoring
were theoretically analyzed. Finally, some ways to apply mentoring system to
educational field in Korea were suggested with the conclusion to the paper.
